Journeyman is the project of a handful of food-loving friends who believe that fine dining should be a comfortable, intimate, and delicious experience. We’ve created a small, refined restaurant that serves elegant but unpretentious tasting menus with relaxed and respectful service.

Our menu changes frequently — a consequence of our restless imagination and our preference for small-scale producers and seasonality — but our philosophy remains constant: we make food that tells a story about the ingredients we use and what they have the potential to become.

Our beverage program focuses on the strange and wonderful back alleys of production, featuring wines made in traditional ways in unusual areas, beers brewed with special care all over the world, and a wide selection of superb aperitifs and digestifs. We bring in our teas from Upton, and our coffees from Counter Culture, and the selection rotates regularly.

Please be sure to also visit our sister establishment, backbar, a craft cocktail bar that we opened just behind Journeyman at the very end of 2011. backbar features innovative and classic cocktails alongside food from the Journeyman’s kitchen, including an extensive selection of cheese and housemade charcuterie.
